Removing A Double DIN | Mobile Audio, Video, Navigation

For car owners who need your factory stereo removed for replacement or repair, a number of steps to take. The standard DIN size is 2 inches 7 inches and is often found in cars, SUVs and light trucks. Larger cars and luxury cars are twice as large as the standard car ? this is called double-DIN. If you do not know how to double-DIN to remove, you can rent a car audio technician working for you.

Before you begin, here are the things you need:

Here are the instructions:

1). To gain access to the terminals on the battery, lift the hood of your car. Simply by means of a spanner, remove the screw that allows the cable to the negative pole. Remove the cable from the battery and put it in a safe place. Go to your car.

2). Remove from your dashboard. This can be found by making the instructions in the manual for your car.

3). Remove the screws and bolts in the corners of the double-DIN head unit with Phillips or bus driver. There are some cars that some special extraction tools you need. For car makes Mazda, Audi, Ford and want to use the tools in the holes in front of the unit. Take the dock good enough for the antenna wire and cable in order to reach the back side of the stereo.

4). Remove wires connected to the outputs on the back of the unit. The wires can lead to mechanisms that must be taken before using the adapter. See repair manual for specific instructions before using the wires from the terminals on the back.

5). Disconnect the antenna cable from the power cord on the bottom left corner of the back of the stereo. Floor panel in a safe place.
